Clippings delivers marketplace platform for Herman Miller Group

The leading global furniture company chooses Clippings technology to offer small and mid-size businesses the best e-commerce experience.

Clippings delivers marketplace platform for Herman Miller Group

Clippings was founded with the ambition to bring digital innovation to the furniture and interiors industry. Last week, we reached a big milestone on this journey, when Herman Miller Group successfully launched Herman Miller Professional, a new eCommerce experience built for small to mid-size US businesses looking to purchase online to outfit or update their offices.

Herman Miller Professional runs on technology developed for the Clippings marketplace and was adapted by the Clippings tech and product team in close collaboration with Herman Miller. Just like Clippings, the new site is simple to navigate, provides business pricing on hundreds of styles, includes easy to share project boards, and provides a supportive shopping experience. The product portfolio features Herman Miller’s family of brands and is curated specifically for this audience and provides custom quoting on products.

After the smooth launch of the platform, Ben Groom, Chief Digital Officer at Herman Miller, commented: “As a company with a foot in both the retail and contract worlds, we need to continue to evolve our experiences to fit the needs of these two diverse groups, especially in contract, where the size of our customers range from a dozen employees to thousands. Each sector has certain expectations of how they would like their purchasing journey to work. From the moment a customer accesses one of our sites to the moment their product arrives, our goal is to exceed their expectations, customise experiences, and ensure every customer feels they’re getting the support and resources they need to make decisions every step of the way.”

“The launch of Herman Miller Professional is an incredible milestone for Clippings,” says Clippings CEO Franck Zayan. “We are very proud that Herman Miller Group trusts our technology to be the best solution to drive digital revenue growth for their business. It is a great sign that the furniture industry is finally embracing the digital revolution and proves that Clippings is at the forefront of delivering this change.”

Lewis Turek, VP Sales and Marketing of Clippings, adds: “I am thrilled that Herman Miller has chosen our technology and team to be part of their digital future. The successful launch of Herman Miller Professional shows that Clippings is a tech company at heart, embedded in the design industry. Thousands of interior professionals love buying furniture for their projects on the Clippings marketplace and it’s fantastic to see that furniture brands want to offer this experience to their customers. We can not wait to help more design companies to discover the potential of our technology for their digital transformation.”
