From mood board to installation in just four weeks: Manhattan Loft Corporation used Clippings to furnish luxury apartments within a 42-floor skyscraper in the Olympic Park.
Manhattan Loft Corporation (MLC) won the Olympic Park bid to redevelop the site and the property now comprises a 146-room hotel, two restaurants, single and double height loft apartments plus communal gardens.
MLC shared a Scandinavian-inspired mood board with Clippings and gave their account manager four weeks to specify, source, procure, deliver and install all of the furniture and lighting for two loft apartments designed for use as event spaces.
“Any designer would find this useful because a mood board is how you naturally work. It allows you to see how the colours, textures and shapes all go together.”
Positioned on the 10th floor of what was still a construction site, installation required extra risk and method statements (RAMs) and could only take place after 8pm on weekdays.
We had a very quick turnaround on this project and Clippings could handle that.

Viewing product suggestions via the mood board-like interface within Clippings software enabled MCL to quickly make decisions on products and alternatives suggested by their account manager based on lead times and aesthetic fit.
Maintaining conversations with multiple brands on behalf of MLC, Clippings ordered products to its London warehouse where they were grouped for consolidated delivery to site.
Clippings project managers visited the construction site in advance to build relationships with contractors and ensured all RAMs were in place beforehand, allowing for a speedy 1-day installation.
“Clippings had been on our radar for some time and we would definitely use the platform in the future.”
